Z.C. quills are pre-assembled cutting sets
made up of circular knives, metallic spacers and vulcanizec spacers. Their main application is
for cutting great tonnages of slit strips which are thin and have fixed widths. Even more the
higher the quality requeriments are.
These complete units remain assembled from the moment they are mounted, during their succesive
sharepenings and until the end of their useful cutting life.
The fitting of these Z.C. quills is carried out by means of a simple but effective guide system,
consisting of three guide knives. That guide system allows maintaining the horizontal clearance,
fixed in the design of the quills, invariable all its life long.

The mounting is carried out extraordinarially quickly, being one of the quills axially fixed
while the second is fitted to the first with no other additional fastenings.
